LIFEFITNET’s method is unlike any other today. We asked ourselves, why do so many programs fail to meet the needs of the masses? Sure, many programs provide temporary improvement for some but so many more put people on a rollercoaster ride of health and weight management, losing, then gaining, again and again. They are overwhelmed and find themselves immobilized in their health maintenance effort—until the dreaded warning from the doctor that it’s do or die—literally. We don’t want this scenario to be the norm and, therefore, sought solutions.
We surveyed more than 800 Honolulu Star- Advertiser bloggers over nearly two years who consistently stated that Training Advice, Nutritional Advice and Support were of greatest value in their health maintenance. Programs today offer information but typically won’t provide personally relevant advice to effectively inspire and guide.
Moreover, many seem to miss the mark on adhering to the way adults learn. Our approach is based on the Adult Learning Method and Effective Performance Management for accountability and support. The chart shown here explains why current programs only meet with limited success in driving long- term positive results and why we’ve designed Life FitNet’s programs to address these adult health change needs.
In addition, LFN Programs are grounded in an Integrated Wellness approach— examining 12 key health factors, and programs that are based on a balanced health philosophy. We examine the whole person, considering exercise/activity and nutrition, as well as lifestyle habits and motivational factors. After all, health and long-term wellness cannot be achieved through a single dimension of improvement.
Full program participants complete their Lifestyle Assessment and are provided their Wellness Web which identifies health factors at risk along with recommendations for correction.
